The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved the emergency use of drug 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG) developed by DRDO.The Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), a lab of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has developed the drug, in collaboration with Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Hyderabad.

దేశాన్ని కరోనా గడగడలాడిస్తున్న వేళ భారత ఔషధ నియంత్రణ మండలి (డీసీజీఐ) అత్యవసర వినియోగం కింద మరో డ్రగ్కు అనుమతి మంజూరు చేసింది. 2- డియోక్సీ-డీ- గ్లూకోజ్ (2-డీజీ) అనే మెడిసిన్ తయారీకి డీసీజీఐ అనుమతి మంజూరు చేసింది. 2-డీజీని ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ న్యూక్లియర్ మెడిసిన్ అండ్ అలైడ్ సైన్సెస్ (ఇన్మాస్), డీఆర్డీఓ, మరియు హైదరాబాదులోని డాక్టర్ రెడ్డీస్ ల్యాబొరేటరీస్ సంయుక్తంగా ఈ మెడిసిన్ను అభివృద్ధి చేయనున్నాయి.
